Debbie and Doug created Double D Ranch in 1998 with the desire to provide a fun, relaxed, family atmosphere. We pride ourselves in our ability to provide a safe and happy place for horse lovers of all ages.
Debbie grew up riding and working with horses in Maryland and New Hampshire.
Doug is a veteran of the United Stated Air Force and has been stationed in Arkansas, Alaska and New Hampshire.
They have two boys, Michael who is 17 and Christopher, who is 12.
Debbie seen here with her 'partner' Dancer. They did great things together. He is 22 now and semi-retired although they occasionally enjoy a trail ride together.
Double D Ranch is a happy, safe and family friendly facility. We boast 52 acres only 25 minutes from the heart of Denver. We currently have pasture board with shelter, 7 stalls with runs, a 60x120 outdoor arena, 45 ft roundpen, tack room, trailer storage and access to two very large community arenas.
We are only 2 blocks from the Salisbury Equestrian Park and Cherry Creek trailhead. A bridle path leads off the property to miles of open space and trails. We feed top quality, barn stored hay. We have it analyzed every season to ensure it's nutritional content. We do not switch our hay, or change suppliers - this is very important for the health of the horse. We feed by weight, ensuring that each horse gets it's needed requirements every day.
We have a great working relationship with both the vet and the farrier. The farrier is on site every 3 weeks. We live on-site, ensuring the consistent hands-on monitoring that every horse deserves and should have.
Pasture Board $200/month
Stall with runs $250/month
(prices may vary due to rate changes since the last time Colorado Horse Forum has spoken with the facility owner)
