We are pleased to announce our mini trial dates for this year. We will be running two separate series and a total of six unrecognized one day horse trials.

Our dates are strategically placed around the recognized calendar so that you can get a great schooling opportunity prior to your recognized trips! Do one phase, two, or all three.
We will have new improvements such as:
-prizes 1st through 3rd in H/T divisions
-high point and reserve high point champion ribbons for series winners if you go to all three shows in the series (more to come)
-overnight trailer parking and horse stabling available for six horses, first come first served basis.

Come join us for our first schooling show of the season! Classes from pile of poles to 1.15 meters. We are also happy to accommodate anyone, just shoot us a message! with a low-key atmosphere and fun group this is a great way to get your green horse in a show atmosphere, get some extra practice, gain some confidence, or just come have some fun!

High Country Working Equitation will have lots of fun activities in 2025. Working Equitation is a fun inclusive sport that welcomes all disciplines! Riders will be asked to perform a dressage test and then navigate an obstacle course. Novice and above will do a spreed round.

The Bureau of Land Management will host a wild horse adoption June 26-28, 2025, at Mesa County Fairgrounds in Grand Junction, Colorado during the Colorado Mustang West 2025 event.
Approximately 72 wild horses will be available for adoption to individuals who are eligible and can provide good homes.
“The BLM has placed nearly 300,000 wild horses and burros into private care since 1971,” said Alan Bittner, BLM Colorado Deputy State Director for Resources. “This is an opportunity to provide a good home to one of America’s Living Legends.”
Viewing opportunities will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 26 and Friday, June 27. The competitive bid for gentled horses will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28. The competitive bid for un-gentled horses will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28. The silent auction for un-gentled horses will take place at 1:45 pm. Saturday, June 28. Load out of adopted horses will take place at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 29. Fees starts at $125 for adopted animals. BLM staff will be onsite to provide more information and assist with the adoption application process.
To qualify to adopt a wild horse:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old with no record of animal abuse.
Homes must have a minimum of 400 square feet of corral space per animal, with access to food, water, and shelter.
Corral fence must meet height requirements:
Adult horses – 6 feet
Yearlings – 5 feet
Trailers must be stock type, covered, with swing gates and sturdy walls/floors.
