Una Schade started her horse career early, having said “horsie” as her first word. Una took lessons and rode hunter/jumpers growing up in Ohio at a facility where she volunteered heavily to get more horse time. She moved to Colorado in 2007 and started the Colorado Horse Forum as a way to meet other equestrians in the area. Una now rides and competes in dressage with her rescued horse, Fritz. She has had Fritz since early 2010 and focused specifically on traditional dressage since 2013. They are working their way through the FEI Levels of traditional dressage. You can read more about them on Una’s blog here. Una also serves on the board for RMDS (Rocky Mountain Dressage Society) and works with WDAA (Western Dressage Association of America).
Una was born in Ireland, moved to Ohio as a young child and now resides in Colorado with her boyfriend and step-son. Una, like many other horse lovers, has a menagerie at home of 2 dogs and a cat. Una also enjoys anything outdoors including hiking & fishing, and has photography as a secondary hobby.
Weird but true fact about Una? She went to college for automotive technologies but ended up finding her *career home* in the technology/marketing industry.
