McKinley is an independent fitter meaning she can look at any brand saddle on your horse and help with fit and adjustment advice. Or if you are interested in one of the brands we carry then we can help find the perfect new or used saddle. We use a unique fitting process to match saddle trees to the shape of your horse’s back. When the specific shape of the back is mirrored by the tree shape the saddle can sit securely in the correct place and we see dramatically better overall comfort and performance. Selleria Equipe hand makes all Equipe saddles with the highest quality Italian leather and special foam panels and all Amerigo saddles with independent wool flocked panels. These panels guarantee a healthier back because of softness, consistency, and non deformability when the tree of the saddle fits the horse seamlessly. This provides an absolute perfect balance for horse and rider.
At your saddle fitting appointment, McKinley will make a personalized tracing of your horses back. The tracing will help determine the ideal saddle for you and your horse- which shape and material tree is The Perfect Fit and what size and customizations of saddle that we will order for you. You will then be able to test ride saddles allowing you the opportunity to feel the difference for yourself!
