About Our Founder
When Una moved to Colorado in 2007, she was eager to connect with other equestrians and learn more about the local horse community. What began as a simple way to meet fellow riders soon evolved into something much bigger — the Colorado Horse Forum (CHF). Through Una’s vision, dedication, and love for the equestrian lifestyle, CHF has grown into a thriving online community and comprehensive resource hub for horse owners across the state. From building the website platform to fostering the Facebook community, Una’s goal has always been to bring Colorado’s horse people together through education, connection, and shared passion.
The Team
The Colorado Horse Forum (CHF) online community is powered entirely by an incredible team of dedicated volunteers who pour their time, passion, and expertise into keeping this online community thriving.
These individuals are the heart of CHF — the people working behind the scenes to keep discussions positive, events updated, resources organized, and connections growing across Colorado’s equestrian world. Without their commitment, creativity, and countless hours of effort, this community wouldn’t be what it is today.
Each team member brings unique skills and experiences to the table — from equine professionals and business owners to lifelong horse enthusiasts — all united by a shared goal: supporting and connecting Colorado’s horse community.
We encourage you to take a moment to get to know the people who make it all possible! If you cross paths with them professionally, please consider supporting their businesses and thanking them for everything they do to keep CHF running strong.

Una Schade
Founder
Una’s passion for horses started practically from day one — her very first word was “horsie.” Growing up in Ohio, she spent every possible moment at the barn, taking hunter/jumper lessons and volunteering wherever she could just to be around horses a little longer. Those early experiences shaped her lifelong dedication to horses and the people who love them.
Today, Una continues to blend her love of horses with her commitment to building connections. She rides and competes in dressage and runs Cadence Farm Sporthorses in Castle Rock, a boutique breeding program focused on producing talented, kind, and athletic dressage prospects.
Through CHF, Una remains dedicated to supporting and strengthening Colorado’s equestrian community by fostering education, collaboration, and friendship among horse lovers of all disciplines.
