The equestrian world has come together over the death of Australian eventer Olivia Inglis. The 17 year old was killed in a fall during the cross country phase of the Scone Horse Trials last Sunday. The incident also claimed the life of her horse. Inglis was raised with horses, a daughter of Australian thoroughbred breeders Arthur and Charlotte Inglis, who were at the event to support their daughter.

“We are so proud of Olivia and the beautiful young woman she was in every way. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to share our passion for horses with our children,” her parents said in a statement on Wednesday.

Riders from around the world, in every discipline, are taking to social media, sharing photos with their horse and the hashtag #RideforOlivia.
